This was part of a series of small paintings for my 'Beautiful Mundane' exhibition that I never got round to finishing. This first one was inspired by a dream I had in which Frida Kahlo was cooking asparagus. Or growing it. I can't quite remember now. The idea in this ongoing series is to match up artists and (usually healing or magical) plants. Possibly the artists might also be played by actors in imaginary films.
