Misc Poems, 1993-99
In the autumn of 1993 I enrolled in a poetry evening class run by the late great Irish American poet Michael Donaghy. He was an inspirational teacher. I did the class for a year or so then in 1999 did another of his classes at City Lit. Having never really read much poetry before, and certainly never having written any, I produced loads of work. Most of it was half-formed and not very good. The poems here are ones that I managed to get published in magazines/anthologies.
